HISTORY AND VISION

About M.O.M. (Messengers of Mercy)

Our Vision is to support missionaries sent out by Korean churches that have partnered with M.O.M..

Our Goal is to encourage and equip all of God’s people to use their God-given skills, talents and available resources in the spread of the Gospel. Having served on many medical mission trips, our Director, Dr. Soon Ja Choi, was burdened by the plenty in this country (United States) and the lack in much of the Majority World. She was personally impacted by Jesus’ command to His disciples after feeding the 5,000 that, “nothing be wasted”. (John 6:12).

Our Ministry Approach is Holistic: Reaching the whole person, body, soul and spirit so that whole communities and nations are transformed through a Biblical understanding of stewardship in every aspect of life (Biblical Community Development Ministry (BCD).

Our Motto:

John 6:12: “When they had all had enough to eat, He said to His disciples, ‘Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.’ “.  So that “nothing is wasted”, M.O.M. collects these “pieces” of unused surplus and recycled items from garage and rummage sales, hospitals, schools, libraries, and homes and they are put to God’s good use.
